BEZEL COMPARISON BETWEEN ROLEX GMT II CERAMIC VS GMT II NON-CERAMIC

One of the most distinguish features of the Rolex GMT is the 24 hour bezel, which is used to measure different time zones. The bezel of the GMT II non-ceramic uses a Click-Spring to hold the bezel in its place. On the other hand, the bezel on the GMT II ceramic rotates on three ball bearings. The GMT II ceramic bezel clicks in one-hour jumps, rather than in minutes as the GMT II non-ceramic.

THE CASE: ROLEX GMT II NON-CERAMIC VS ROLEX GMT II CERAMIC

Referring to the Rolex GMT II  case of these two models; The Rolex GMT II Ceramic (116710) is thicker, larger and 1.5mm longer than the Rolex GMT II Non-Ceramic (16710) case. Even though the 116710 is thicker, the watch fits perfectly to the wrist because the caseback is flat; as opposed to the 16710, that is more curved.

CASE MEASUREMENTS:

116710: 44MM      LENGHT LUG: 47.8MM
